I have found that i absolutely must travel every week.
It's impossible to have a 30,000 ft view while staying at sea level.
It really helps me gain and re-gain perspective.

I have some friends who have been on 33 cruises.......they are always on the go.
Have you ever tried the cruises?

Good to see you again B..very good topping as always...I have been to 4 cruises and I had so much fun...
But after a while you get bored and don't want to do it again....I prefer traveling to different countries and states....I recently went to Hawaii and to London, Copenhagen and Paris...I would go again specially to Paris...My favorite vacation place...I should buy a villa there...

Talking about traveling ..oh boy..ask me Brian..I love it and it is a must for anyone..I have been to islands, countries, States, mountains, oceans..I absolutely love it and will do it again and gain..I am on my way to another trip since my schedule changed..
Some people say that they don't have money to travel..Traveling can be anywhere and it is not hard to safe for two trips a year.
I met a women in PA who works a second part time job half of the year just to safe for her trips..Very smart..

Sorry for the delay in answering your request to "Go Fly With You", but I must decline--I never fly with novice pilots and besides I have a VERY BIG plane of my own to fly.

You wouldn't call me anything but "fabulous"?????  That might be pushing the envelope just a little too far, Bri.....  but.....who cares......
No, I don't want to try those strip searches.....

But I still want to know what's with the striped wallpaper on the right hand side of this page....damnit.

Oh, your friend's joke is funny....sort of----guess you had to be there.  Kind of like Rodney Dangerfield jokes.  They just don't resonate so well unless you can hear the voice, the tone of voice, and see the facial expressions that go with it.

Hope you have no snow left.....  Spring is definitely on the way.....

Pat

Hi Pat.....
Yes the snow is gone.
It's golf weather.
Are you ready?

Pat,
It's so good to see you and hear from you.
I would never call you anything but fabulous.
You should try those strip search security lines. You might like it and come back for more.
It reminds me of my friend who says he's a tri-sexual.
He'll try anything once.
Anyway it used to be funny.

Wonderful!

I had to travel enough that I prefer not to mention it, if not the case. Rewarding, nice, might look too exotic for some, even if not to exotic places.

Traveling places or traveling cultures?

Sure, If you can fit into my suitcase lol. So I'm booked now to go to Marmaris Turkey. Now I want to find out what there is to see and do exactly. I think there is a dolophin therapy centre there and also white water rafting, mud baths, castle, boat rides to see the turtles. Would soo love to do those trips.  I think there is even a boat trip to Rhodes Greece. I am the type of person that needs to be doing something and would be bored with simply just a pool holiday.

First, Brian, what's with the striped wallpaper at the right hand side of this page??!!!!?

Second....I'm defnitely in the minority here....  I hate travel.  I would love to visit London, travel all over Ireland and Germany and Scotland [my ethnic heritage places], but I hate to travel.  Once I go to the trouble of packing and such, getting through two airports [the going and arriving], I am POOPED!  I want to then plant down roots for at least 3 months before I have to "move" again.

Certainly travel is broadening [who said that...???], but I'm too damn tired to do it in the usual way.  Two weeks here, one week there---OY VAY!!!!  I'm ready for the loony bin.   So call me a stick-in-the-mud if you must, but I'll be staying at home until such time as I can afford a staff of assistants to take care of all the niggling details that would drive me half out of my mind when it comes to travel by air.

By car....now that's a different matter.  But you can't get to Europe from the USA by car.....

I know, I know....I sound like--probably am--a curmudgeonly oldster on this one...but that's me...and that's the truth...and I'm sticking to this story until someone or something comes along that makes travel by air the same easy breeze that getting in my car to go to a store 10 miles away is.

Have fun, y'all, in those various and interesting "check" lines at the airport....

Quoting chawita

Living on a small island I need to get away at least a couple of times a year in order to keep my sanity (whatever's left of it). I don't even mind the hassle of packing and layovers and standing in line. Last october I traveled with the kids (one of 9 and twins of 5) to California. It took us 20 hours to get there, delays and all, but the kids were so excited and happy that it was all just a great big adventure. I also love going to new places to meet new people and learn about different cultures. If I could make a living traveling I would!

I used to live on an island and it was a blessing and a curse.
The beauty was out of this world. The dating possibilities were non existent.
I literally had to import my dates so to speak.
Fortunately it was possible to travel by car to the mainland or fly somewhere without much trouble.

Hmmm I guess I am spoiled!!!! but trust me I am a hard worker too.  I managed to find a work that would allow time for myself.  I guess I get more time to enjoy it.  However it is something I would have to be attentive to if I have a man that work 7 days a week and works 7 days a week. Kiss

Bri I can be that spontaneous......but you mentioned how it is your lifestyle as your work demands it....for me it is simple adventure to add to my list!!! I have been to France, Germany, Spain (loved my vacation there), Portugal, Morrocco, here, will be going to Holland in the summer. Bri I would be blushing if I have to ask the man......careful what you ask for, as I am perfectly capable of handling it.......LOL  you probably right, I need a challenging man.

To understand this you would need to understand a lifestyle I adapted a few years ago.
I work 7 days a week and I play 7 days a week. So I do them both at once. It's different but it works for me.

Travel is one of my biggest passions. I want to visit as many different countries as possible. It’s just great to see new places, meet new people, experience new cultures. It also makes you more knowledgeable. I still can't get South Africa out my head. That place really has made an impact on me. I feel drawn to return.
I'm currently looking to escape to Turkey next. It looks prettier than what I imagined.

sarah :-)

Hi Sarah,
It's good to see you and hear from you.
I really like your name. It's the same as my sister.
Can I go to Turkey too?
